The mission of NEPLP is to develop, support and monitor the electronic mass media sector in Latvia, creating conditions for electronic mass media, the plurality of services provided, and opinions reflected in accordance with the interests and needs of various groups of society. The aim of NEPLP is to promote competition in the industry market, and the creation, preservation and accessibility of socially significant, high-quality content.
NEPLP actively participates in such European Union and international regulatory cooperation institutions as The European Board for Media Services (Media Board) and the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA).
